Nigerian Music Legend Onyeka Onwenu Laid to Rest in Lagos

Nigerian music icon Onyeka Onwenu, fondly known as the ‘Elegant Stallion,’ has been laid to rest in Lagos State. The funeral service for the singer, songwriter, actor, journalist, activist, and politician was held at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos, followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi. Onwenu, who died on July 30 after collapsing at a birthday party, was a prominent figure in Nigerian entertainment and public life. Notable attendees at the funeral service included former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
