Helwan University in Egypt has achieved a significant milestone by launching a new faculty of food science, the first of its kind in the country’s public universities. The faculty, set to open its doors to students in the academic year 2024-2025, offers four specialization areas: Nutritional Therapy in Arabic and English, Community Nutrition, and Food Science. The establishment of the faculty, approved by the Supreme Council of Universities, aligns with Helwan University’s vision to create programs that meet modern demands and offer new opportunities for Egyptian youth. The faculty is designed to provide high-quality education and research, meeting both local and international standards. Graduates from the faculty will find ample opportunities in diverse sectors, including hospitals, clinics, food manufacturing companies, research centers, and government agencies.
