New Chairman Elected for EXIM Bank Limited

Md Nazrul Islam Swapan has been elected as the new chairman of EXIM Bank Limited. He was elected at a reorganized board of directors meeting held on Friday. The Bangladesh Bank had previously dissolved the board of directors, removing the previous chairman, Nazrul Islam Majumder. A new board was formed with five directors, including three shareholders. Swapan was elected as shareholder chairman for the next two years. The new board aims to protect the interests of depositors and ensure good governance within the bank.
