Residents of the Motilones neighborhood in Cucuta’s Commune 7 have finally gained access to a public transportation route after a decade-long wait. The new bus route, reactivated by the Tonchala company, promises to improve mobility along Motilones’ First Avenue, an area that has long relied on informal colectivos and taxis, leading to safety concerns and high costs for users. The bus route starts in the Camilo Daza neighborhood, passing through Buenos Aires, Ospina Perez, La Laguna, and Motilones, before heading to the city center. The route includes key avenues like Motilones’ First Avenue, the city center’s Eighth Avenue, and Diagonal Santander, efficiently connecting Commune 7 neighborhoods with vital areas of Cucuta, such as Colon Park and the Transport Terminal.
