Mount Clemens Grand Prix: A Family-Friendly Event Supporting Local Charities

The Mount Clemens Grand Prix, a beloved tradition, will be held on September 7th for its 32nd year. This family-friendly event, which features a soapbox derby-style race for children aged 6-12, draws crowds to downtown Mount Clemens for a day of fun and community support. The race raises funds for a variety of local charities, including the Mount Clemens Firefighters, Discovery Center of Macomb, and Maggie’s Wigs for Kids. The day also includes a pancake breakfast, food specials, DJ music, and a bounce house. The Lions Club, organizers of the event, are still seeking donations of soapbox derby cars to ensure that all children can participate.
