Modi Accused of Prioritizing Personal Ambitions Over Shivaji’s Legacy

The 35-foot statue, unveiled by Modi last December, collapsed on August 26. Congress leaders highlighted the durability of a statue of Shivaji Maharaj inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1957, emphasizing its long-standing integrity. They allege that the recent statue was hastily constructed for political gain before elections, leading to substandard work and corruption.
