Missing Child Case in Turkey: Suspect Released by Gendarmerie

The search for 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır’s Bağlar district on August 21, continues on its eighth day. The Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Commander, Major General Selçuk Yıldırım, provided updates to the press from the mobile command center established by the gendarmerie in the Tavşanlı neighborhood. Yıldırım had previously stated that one individual was detained, and statements had been taken from 66 people, including 8 suspects and 58 witnesses. The detained suspect has been released after gendarmerie procedures.
