Misiones: Building a Future for Audiovisual Sector Through Strategic Planning

The Institute of Audiovisual Arts of Misiones (IAAVIM) in Argentina recently held the first Participatory Strategic Planning Workshop (PEP) in Posadas. This workshop, the first of a series to be held in Oberá, Puerto Rico, and the Northern Audiovisual District in September, brought together producers and production companies to discuss the future of the audiovisual sector. The initiative, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Silicon Misiones, aims to solidify the audiovisual industry’s role within Misiones’s industrial and productive landscape. The workshop focused on identifying strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats (SWOT) facing the sector, with participants exploring topics like the IAAVIM’s Comprehensive Promotion Plan, investment opportunities, and emerging formats. The event underscored the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors, particularly in the formation of an audiovisual producers’ association to bolster the creative industry.
