Man Stabbed After Dispute in Mosque, Allegedly Threatening Mayor

A man was stabbed in a dispute that occurred in the courtyard of a mosque in the village of Srimnica, Macedonia. The incident followed an alleged verbal attack on the mayor of the Zhelin municipality, B.S., by the victim, F.B., and a physical assault on I.I., the father of the attacker, O.I. The stabbing occurred later in the day when F.B. confronted O.I. in a restaurant. O.I. then fled the scene. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (SVR) in Tetovo is currently investigating the incident in cooperation with the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Tetovo to fully clarify the circumstances surrounding the assault.
