Man Injured After Collapsing Ceiling in Turkish Prayer Room

Mehmet Velioglu, a 42-year-old man working at a private hospital, was injured in Kocaeli, Turkey, after a ceiling collapsed in a prayer room he was using. The incident occurred in the Güney neighborhood of the Körfez district. Velioglu had gone to the prayer room to pray when the wooden ceiling collapsed, causing him to fall to the floor below. He sustained rib fractures and was transported to the hospital after receiving initial medical attention at the scene. The owner of the prayer room stated that the upper floor was usually closed and only used for prayer purposes.
