Maid of Egyptian Actress Mena Arafa Appeals Jail Sentence for Theft

The wife of the security guard of actress Mena Arafa’s apartment has appealed against her one-year jail sentence for theft. The maid was found guilty by a Cairo New City misdemeanor court. She was accused of stealing items from the actress’s apartment. The defendant’s lawyer filed an appeal with the Cairo New City Misdemeanor Appeals Court. Earlier, the misdemeanor court sentenced the maid to one year in prison for theft. Actress Mena Arafa had reported a theft at her apartment in a compound in Cairo New City. Security officials apprehended the suspects after receiving a report about the theft of personal belongings from the actress’s apartment.
