Luis Chacón Moves on Loan to Cultural Leonesa

Luis Chacón, Deportivo’s first signing of the summer, is heading out on loan to Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa until the end of the season. The 24-year-old midfielder, who only featured for a few minutes in Deportivo’s first two league matches, saw his chances diminish with the arrival of Juan Gauto. Despite initially resisting a move, Chacón has now agreed to a loan deal without an option to buy. He joins a Cultural side that already boasts other former Deportivo players like Quique Fornos and Bicho, as well as former teammate Pibe, with whom he formed a formidable attacking duo at Arenteiro. Chacón played a key role in Arenteiro’s success last season, starting 34 of 38 league matches and scoring 10 goals.
