The highways A7, A8, and A9, connecting the Mediterranean coast to the north, are expected to be heavily congested. In Île-de-France, the region surrounding Paris, traffic delays are anticipated due to the combination of returning vacationers and weekday commutes, particularly on the A10, A6, A6B, A86 highways, and the Périphérique ring road. The Paralympic Games are also expected to contribute to traffic congestion in Île-de-France. Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region will also experience heavy traffic, mainly on the A7 and A75 highways. The A9 and A61 highways are expected to be affected by heavy traffic, especially the A9 due to returning tourists from the Mediterranean region.
