An Assistant Land Officer, Anisur Rahman, tragically lost his life in a road accident while returning from distributing relief supplies to flood victims in Comilla, Bangladesh. The accident occurred on Friday night in the Kapasatola area of Lalmai Upazila. Rahman, a resident of Namtola village in Burichang Upazila, was serving as an Assistant Land Officer in Teriail, Sitakunda Upazila of Chattogram. Rahman had joined a volunteer group and a local group to deliver food aid to flood victims in Monohorganj on Friday. The group distributed aid to over 2,000 people in Barkechatla and Lal Chandpur villages. On their way back, their tractor collided with a covered van in Kapasatola. The impact caused the tractor to overturn, severely injuring five people including Rahman. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Witnesses reported that Rahman was actively involved in assisting flood victims and was known for his commitment to helping those in need.
