Kosovo Police Storm Municipal Buildings in Northern Kosovo

Kosovo’s special police force entered the buildings of the Provisional Authorities in four municipalities in northern Kosovo: Kosovska Mitrovica, Leposavic, Zvečan, and Zubin Potok. The police, armed with long guns, entered the buildings simultaneously, shortly after 5 p.m. The action also included the hospital complex in Kosovska Mitrovica, as well as the building housing the Pension Fund, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the Kosovska Mitrovica Administrative District, and the Social Welfare Center. The police action triggered tensions in the region, with concerns raised about the escalation of the situation.
