The Kerala government is launching 2,400 special medical camps for elderly citizens, focusing on improving their physical and mental well-being. Led by the Ayush Department, these camps will be held across the state in September. The initiative encompasses a variety of traditional medicine systems, including Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Yoga, Naturopathy, Siddha, and Unani. Common health concerns faced by the elderly, such as muscle and bone weakness, sleep disorders, constipation, and lifestyle diseases, will be addressed. The camps will feature expert consultations, basic laboratory services, awareness sessions, referral systems, free medication distribution, and yoga classes.
