The Kerala Cooperative Department has stepped in to provide support to the family of Arjun, a lorry driver who went missing in a landslide in Shiruri. The department has announced that Arjun’s wife, K. Krishnapriya, will be offered a job as a Junior Clerk/Cashier at the Vengari Service Cooperative Bank. This decision was made based on the cooperative principles of social responsibility, and the government has granted exemptions to facilitate the appointment. The minister, VN Vasavan, emphasized the importance of cooperative organizations in supporting the common people. Arjun’s brother-in-law, Jithin, has been requesting the use of a dredging machine to resume the search efforts for Arjun, who went missing on July 16th after a landslide on the Panvel-Kanyakumari National Highway in Shiruri, Dakshina Kannada. Despite facing resistance from the Karnataka government due to funding limitations, Jithin recently met with the Karnataka Chief Minister, emphasizing the need for the dredging machine to locate the missing vehicle. The family has expressed criticism of the delay in resuming the search operation.
