Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken nature and controversial roles, has claimed that her upcoming film ‘Emergency’ has been stalled by the censor board. The actress, who portrays former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film, alleges that she and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) members have been receiving threats. Ranaut claims pressure is being exerted to prevent the depiction of the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by Sikh security personnel, as well as the 1984 Sikh riots. The film is scheduled to release on September 6th. Ranaut claims that although the film was initially approved for release, the certificate was revoked due to these threats.
