The Jincheon County government has completed the construction of a new connecting road between the Seokjang Interchange and the New City (Center Class) in Jincheon County. The project was undertaken to improve living conditions for residents of the new city, costing a total of 800 million won (400 million won from the national government and 400 million won from the county). The new road, which includes a 110-meter long newly built road and improved access roads, will provide better connectivity to the new city. The project was initiated in December 2023 and was completed after approximately nine months of construction. The new road connects with the National Route 21-Seokjang Interchange, making it easier for residents of the new city to access the highway. This new route is expected to reduce traffic congestion at the new city’s entrance and Yongmong Interchange during peak hours, and will significantly improve access to the new city.
