The National Water Commission (NWC) in Jamaica has received a significant shipment of pipes and fittings valued at over US$1.9 million. These materials will be used to enhance water infrastructure in key areas across the island, including St. Mary, St. Ann, and Manchester. The investment underscores the government’s commitment to improving water supply resilience across Jamaica. The project will benefit over 30,000 residents in St. Mary alone, providing more reliable and consistent water service. The pipes will also be used in the second phase of the Exchange Water Supply System in St. Ann and to upgrade the Greater Mandeville Water Supply System in Manchester. These projects aim to achieve the Vision 2030 goals of 85% coverage in piped networks and reduced non-revenue water.
