A deadly Metrobus crash in Istanbul, which claimed one life and injured 51 others, has resulted in the arrest of five suspects. Eight individuals were initially detained in connection with the incident, which occurred when a Metrobus traveling towards Beylikdüzü collided with another bus near Sefaköy. The Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the cause of the accident, while three of the detained individuals were released following questioning. The remaining five, including the Metrobus driver and a supervisor, are facing potential charges of negligent injury and manslaughter. The accident occurred on Tuesday morning, killing 22-year-old Ferhat Uçar and injuring 51 passengers, two of whom sustained serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are still looking into the factors that contributed to the tragic incident.
