Israeli forces conducted a series of raids in the Jenin area of the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of 16 Palestinians, including three prominent Hamas commanders. The raids, which continued for a third consecutive day, also targeted refugee camps in Tulkarm. Among the fatalities was Wesam Hazem, a key Hamas military commander, who was killed after an Israeli drone attack on a vehicle he was traveling in. The Israeli military claimed that the vehicle contained heavy weapons and a large sum of money, but Hamas has not yet commented on this assertion. The deaths bring the total number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank since the start of the Gaza conflict on October 7th to over 650.
