Maddipati Venkataraju, the MLA for the East Godavari constituency, has announced that every acre of land in his constituency will receive irrigation water. He made the statement during the inauguration of the Tadipudi Lift Irrigation Scheme in Thokkireddyguddem, Gopalapuram. The scheme, he said, will provide water to 13,000 acres of land across a 18 kilometer stretch. Venkataraju, as part of the ‘Vanam – Manam’ program, visited a Gurukula school and later toured a community health center, where he spoke to patients about the medical services offered. He then visited the B.R. Ambedkar Gurukula Girls’ School, where he garlanded the Ambedkar statue and planted saplings. He emphasized that environmental protection is everyone’s responsibility, encouraging students and leaders to pledge their commitment to tree plantation and conservation. He stressed that planting trees is the best way to combat pollution.
