Iran’s First National Netball Championship Set for September

The first-ever national netball championship in Iran will take place in September in Isfahan. Organized by the Iranian Netball Committee and the Isfahan Netball Committee, in collaboration with the Isfahan municipality, the tournament will feature 12 teams from across the country. The competition will be held in the women’s open category and will run for five days, from September 23rd to 27th. Netball, a team sport related to basketball, has recently been added to Iran’s competitive sports scene and falls under the auspices of the Federation of Sports Associations. Teams will compete with seven players on the court and five substitutes for a total of 12 players.
