The 2nd International Route of Salvation Cycling Tour commenced in Samsun, Turkey, with 115 professional cyclists representing 18 countries. The race, organized by the Samsun Governorate, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, the Turkish Cycling Federation, and the Samsun Civil Society Organizations Confederation (SAMKON), kicked off at the Tobacco Pier in the İlkadım district. The first stage covered a distance of 151.1 kilometers, taking the riders from Samsun to Yakakent. Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı presented the Turkish flag to the cyclists who will journey to Ankara, symbolizing the tour’s connection to Turkey’s history and its fight for freedom. The race included a symbolic participation from children, creating a festive atmosphere. The event continues with the second stage from Havza to Amasya (133.7 km), followed by Amasya to Çorum (163.6 km) and culminating in the final stage from Çankırı to Ankara (166.4 km).
