International ‘Route of Salvation’ Cycling Tour Kicks Off in Samsun

The second International Route of Salvation Cycling Tour (Tour of Route Salvation) has begun in Samsun, Turkey, with the participation of 115 professional athletes from 18 different countries. The event, organized by Samsun Governorship, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Cycling Federation (TBF), and SAMKON, takes place from August 30th to September 2nd, 2024. The first stage of the five-day race saw cyclists cover 151.1 kilometers between Samsun and Yakakent. The athletes expressed pride in representing their nations and competing in this significant event, which aims to commemorate the history of the Turkish Independence War. The race will continue through various stages in Havza, Amasya, Çorum, and Çankırı, culminating in Ankara.
