The pilot of the helicopter that crashed in the Douro River in Lamego, Portugal, on Friday is in stable condition and under medical observation, according to a hospital source. The pilot sustained leg injuries but is reportedly in no danger. The helicopter was carrying a team of five GNR officers who were returning from fighting a fire in the Baiao municipality. Four of the officers have been confirmed dead, while the fifth remains missing. Rescue efforts are ongoing to locate the missing officer, involving aerial, terrestrial, and water searches. The helicopter crashed at approximately 12:50 PM near the village of Samodaes.
