The tunnel, a vital artery connecting Playa and the Plaza de la Revolución, is on track to be fully operational by 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 31st. The project, which includes concrete repairs, painting, and drainage improvements, is nearing completion. The remaining work is estimated to be over 80% finished, with the final stages focusing on cleaning and final touches. The collaborative effort of various entities, including the Tunnel Operations Unit, the Traffic Engineering Department, and EMCONAT, is essential to the project’s successful completion.
