Hapoel Tel Aviv fans, organized under the ‘Hapoel Osheshin’ association, have expressed dissatisfaction with the team’s current home arena, Menora Mivtachim Arena. This led to a meeting between the fans and club owner Ofer Yanai, resulting in a decision to explore alternative venues for the upcoming season. The team is now expected to play their home games at the Shlomo Group Arena, while a simultaneous effort to secure funding for renovations at their original arena is being pursued. While the decision to move to a new arena was reached, it remains unclear if the fans will ultimately approve of the change, as they have previously voiced their concerns about Yanai’s influence on the club’s affairs. Further complications arose when Hapoel Tel Aviv player Patrick Beverly accused a woman working for rival team Maccabi Tel Aviv of turning off the lights during a Hapoel training session. The accusation, which was later retracted, further escalated tensions between the two clubs.
