Hapoel Be’er Sheva, set to face Bnei Sakhnin in the upcoming round, is on the verge of securing a new foreign player. The Israeli club announced today that they have reached an agreement with Portuguese side Portimonense, from which Pedrao moved to Maccabi Haifa, for the acquisition of Brazilian midfielder Lucas Ventura. The 26-year-old, known for his defensive midfield role but also capable of playing as a central midfielder, will arrive in Israel in the coming days to undergo medical tests and finalize the move. Ventura started his career at Cruzeiro in Brazil, before going out on loan to various Brazilian clubs including Sport Recife, Botafogo, and Avaí. In January 2023, he transferred on a free transfer to Portimonense in the Portuguese league.
