Gyeonggi Province is launching a KRW 200 billion industrial disaster prevention fund, starting from February 2nd. This fund will offer low-interest loans to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the province that face difficulties in investing in disaster prevention facilities. The support will be extended to SMEs looking to install new safety equipment, replace existing hazardous machinery, and improve workplace safety measures. Loans are capped at KRW 5 billion per company, with a repayment period of five years, including a two-year grace period. The interest rate will be 2% lower than the commercial bank rate, thanks to support from Gyeonggi Province’s secondary reserve fund. SMEs can apply online through the G-money system or visit one of the 26 Gyeonggi Information Centers and four branches for assistance.
