A land assistant officer, Anisur Rahman, tragically lost his life in a road accident while returning from delivering relief supplies to flood victims in Comilla. The accident occurred in Kapashtala, Lalmai Upazila, on Friday night, August 30th, while he was returning from distributing aid in Manohargonj Upazila. Four others sustained serious injuries in the collision. Rahman, a resident of Namtola village in Moynamoti Union, Burichang Upazila, Comilla, was working as a land assistant officer in Teriail, Sitakunda Upazila, Chattogram. He had traveled to Manohargonj earlier that day, along with a volunteer group from Chueta University, to deliver food aid to flood-affected individuals. They distributed aid to over 2,000 people in Barkeshtola and Lal Chandpur villages. While returning, their tractor collided with a covered van, causing the tractor to overturn. Rahman died at the scene, and four other occupants sustained injuries, including a serious head injury.
