Generali Vietnam has paid out nearly 40 billion VND ($1.6 million) in insurance claims to over 5,700 policyholders who purchased insurance through banks in the first half of 2024. The company highlights the stories of two individuals, Ms. Le Thi Uyen and Mr. Minh Hai, who benefited from Generali’s insurance policies purchased through OCB and Eximbank, respectively. Ms. Uyen, a nurse, tragically passed away in a traffic accident, leaving behind her two children. Generali’s VITA – Living Optimistically policy provided her family with over 1.1 billion VND in death benefits, offering financial support during a difficult time. Mr. Hai, a coffee and silk farmer, suffered a serious accident resulting in paralysis. His Generali policy provided over 811 million VND in benefits, helping him manage the significant medical expenses and alleviate the financial burden on his family. These stories exemplify the importance of insurance, especially for those who rely on consistent income from their work.
