From Injury to Victory: Kyoto International’s Fukube Shines at Koshien

Fukube Soma, a third-year infielder for Kyoto International High School, recently visited the Fukuchiyama City Hall to report his team’s victory in the National High School Baseball Championship. The star player, who hails from Fukuchiyama Boys and graduated from Seiwacho Junior High, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from his hometown. Fukube faced a major setback last November when he tore his right ACL during the Kinki District tournament. After enduring months of intense rehabilitation, he returned to the field in June and played a crucial role in his team’s historic championship win. In the semi-final against Aomori Yamada, Fukube hit the game-winning run, solidifying his contribution to the team’s first-ever national title.
