Vincent Collet, a prominent figure in French basketball, has decided to step down as the head coach of the French national team after 15 successful years. The decision comes after a meeting with the French Basketball Federation (FFBB), where it was determined that his contract would not be renewed. Collet’s tenure has been marked by numerous achievements, including eight medals for the French national team. He led the team to victory at the 2013 Eurobasket in Slovenia, and secured two silver medals at the European championships (2011, 2022) and one bronze medal (2015). Collet also guided France to two Olympic silver medals (2020, 2024) and two World Cup bronze medals (2014, 2019).
