Yahya El-Komy, the former president of the Egyptian football club Ismaily, has been arrested on charges of issuing bounced checks. Egyptian authorities apprehended El-Komy at his villa in Giza, following an investigation by the Giza Security Directorate. Investigations revealed that El-Komy was wanted for 12 outstanding court rulings related to bounced checks. These rulings included an appeal from a court in Nasr City. Police officers from Sheikh Zayed Police Station, acting on a tip that El-Komy was at his residence, apprehended the former club president at his farm on the desert road, transporting him to the police station for questioning. El-Komy will be presented to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to face the outstanding charges against him.
