Filipino wheelchair racer Jerrold Mangliwan has advanced to the men’s T52 400m final at the Paralympics. Mangliwan, 44, finished seventh in the heats at the Stade de France, clocking 1:05.79. The top eight racers from the heats progressed to the medal round, which will take place on Saturday. Mangliwan, the Asian Para Games champion, placed fourth in his heat, securing his place in the final despite not securing a top three finish. His time proved to be enough to secure his place in the final as he was among the next two fastest competitors across all heats.
