She stated that she will continue to embrace life, her artistic pursuits, her nation, and love for people worldwide, despite these attacks. The controversy arose after Shahin’s recent comments about an experience with a director who became suddenly devout, disrupting the filming schedule with frequent prayers. She questioned the director’s abrupt change in behavior, arguing that while personal devotion is commendable, it shouldn’t disrupt professional work.
