Egypt’s Minister of Environment, Dr. Yasmin Fouad, has underscored the critical role of public-private partnerships in effectively managing the country’s waste system. During a recent inspection visit to the Eastern Region operations of Inviromaster, a private company involved in waste management, Dr. Fouad emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration to overcome challenges in the sector. She highlighted the company’s role in providing waste collection, transportation, street cleaning, recycling, treatment, and safe landfill services across nine districts in the Eastern Region. Dr. Fouad also praised the company’s commitment to environmental awareness, evidenced by initiatives like the distribution of waste sorting bins to schools.
