Trade between Egypt and Turkey reached $3 billion in the first half of 2024, according to a statement released by Egypt’s Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics. This figure represents a slight decrease compared to the $3.7 billion recorded during the same period in 2023. While Egypt’s exports to Turkey amounted to $1.5 billion, imports from Turkey reached $1.5 billion in the first half of 2024. The statement highlights the growing bilateral relations between the two countries, with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi set to visit Turkey for a strategic meeting. The visit is anticipated to further strengthen economic ties, particularly in trade and investment.
