Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Edo State governorship election, has promised to prioritize civil servants’ welfare if elected. He assured that his administration would not hire consultants to perform tasks that civil servants are capable of handling, guaranteeing their jobs and salaries. Okpebholo also stated his commitment to declaring a state of emergency in education, security, health, and infrastructure, aiming to bring about comprehensive development in the state. He further promised to create 5,000 teaching positions and offer interest-free loans to market women to bolster their businesses.
