The Katsina State Government and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) have joined forces to deliver crucial aid to 14,694 vulnerable individuals in the state. This partnership seeks to alleviate the hardships faced by those in dire situations, particularly those who have been displaced or affected by crises. The project, a continuation of the World Food Programme Stabilisation Project, aims to provide financial support, food assistance, and other forms of aid to vulnerable families. The collaboration highlights a shared commitment to addressing the challenges of poverty, displacement, and insecurity in the region. The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda, emphasizing the importance of social safety nets and addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.
