The search continues relentlessly for Agnese Milanese, 74, and her son, Giuseppe Guadagnino, 42, who have been missing for three days after a mudslide in San Felice a Cancello, in the Caserta region of Italy. Firefighters, civil protection authorities, Red Cross volunteers, police, and financial police are all working alongside the Carabinieri and Baila, a specially trained bloodhound from the Carabinieri’s Canine Unit in Bologna. Baila, the only dog in Italy specialized in finding traces of blood and cadavers, has been deployed to search the area. The thick mud, which traps air and scents, makes the search extremely challenging.
