Residents of Srimukhalingam are on edge after a dengue case was confirmed in the village. The recent surge in fever cases, with several individuals suffering from symptoms in each street, was further compounded by the positive dengue test of a local resident, Paidi Lakshminarayana, from Pondar street. Following the confirmation, the Achyutapuram PHC medical staff initiated swift action, under the guidance of Sarpanch Tammanagari Satish, to implement sanitation measures and mosquito control spray in the village. There are concerns about the extent of the dengue outbreak, with many questioning the number of people affected. Dr. P. Sujata, Achyutapuram Medical Officer, confirmed that a rapid test on Paidi Lakshminarayana yielded a positive dengue result, and blood samples have been sent to the Srikakulam General Hospital for further confirmation. The health staff are conducting door-to-door surveys to collect information on individuals experiencing fever.
