Telangana is grappling with a surge in dengue cases, causing widespread concern across the state. According to the Health Department, a total of 5,372 dengue cases have been reported since January, with Hyderabad recording the highest number at 1,852. Other districts reporting high numbers include Suryapet, Medchal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy, Jagityala, Sangareddy, and Warangal. The alarming rise in dengue cases has led to a significant increase in patients seeking treatment at hospitals. The state is also witnessing a surge in viral fevers, with over 265,000 reported cases. Hospitals are facing a heavy influx of patients suffering from fever, cough, cold, sore throat, vomiting, and diarrhea. Medical professionals are urging people to take precautions against mosquito bites and seek immediate medical attention if experiencing fever symptoms.
