The recent rainy season has led to an increase in the number of dengue-carrying mosquitoes throughout Pakistan. In the past 24 hours, Punjab’s health department has reported 13 new dengue cases, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 336 this year. Rawalpindi saw the highest number of new cases with 9, followed by Lahore with 2, and one case each in Attock and Faisalabad.
