Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has distributed appointment letters to 627 newly recruited employees, including 27 doctors, for the Delhi government and the DDA. Saxena stated that the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has expedited the recruitment process, with a significant number of vacancies being filled across various departments in Delhi. He added that an additional 20,000 positions are expected to be filled by March 2025. The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the new recruits, stating that the government is committed to eliminating ad-hocism in government jobs and creating opportunities for eligible candidates through a free, impartial, and transparent process. He also highlighted that the DSSSB has made over 17,000 permanent appointments in the past two years, surpassing the total number of appointments made in the previous decade.
