A potentially dangerous tree near the Neleswaram police station in Kerala is causing concern among residents and officials. Located on the path between the police station and a nearby anganwadi, the tree’s branches are in danger of falling, posing a serious threat to the children attending the anganwadi and pedestrians. Despite multiple requests to remove the hazardous branches, local authorities have failed to take action. Parents are terrified to send their children to the anganwadi, particularly during stormy weather. A local resident had written to the municipality requesting the removal of the tree, and the municipality secretary had forwarded a letter to the police authorities. However, no action has been taken. The issue has been raised in ward council meetings, and the ward councilor has also sent a letter requesting the removal of the tree. The anganwadi’s parents have expressed their concern and stated that they may reconsider sending their children to the anganwadi until the dangerous tree is removed. The lack of action from authorities has left residents wondering if they are waiting for an accident to occur before addressing the issue.
