CPM Leader Criticizes Silence on MPs, Defends Action Against Actor

MA Baby, a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) central committee, has defended the Kerala government’s action against a popular actor, who was accused of sexual misconduct. She stated that the party and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) will discuss the allegations against Mukesh MLA and take appropriate action. Baby also criticized the media’s silence on similar allegations against MPs from Kerala, saying that while the actor was jailed, the same scrutiny is not being applied to elected officials. She emphasized that the party would thoroughly discuss the issue before forming an opinion and that she would not comment further until after deliberations with party members.
