The Costa Rican Social Security (CCSS) is investing approximately ₡1,600 million ($3 million) in the Tony Facio Castro Hospital in Limón to improve healthcare services in the region. The investment will be used for various projects, including a comprehensive fire safety plan, upgrades to the air conditioning system, installation of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for the cardiology laboratory, and renovation and repainting of the hospital’s interior and exterior walls. The hospital director, Dr. Daver Vidal Romero, stated that these initiatives aim to improve the infrastructure, making it safer and more comfortable for patients to receive care in optimal conditions.
